From 13 until 16 of September the project participant – Emilia Trudnowska represented RAW – glaciers Retreat And fjords Wither project at the „Underwater Vision Profiler user meeting and Make Our Planet Great Again” symposium that was hold at Labolatorie Villefranche, Sorbonne Universite.
She presented how she is going to apply a new methodologiach approach based on uderwater images, that she developed during her Mobility Plus grant, to new data that she collected this summer (August 2022) during the RAW jacht expedition. She plans to perform such marine aggregate categorisation near glacier fronts in order to estimate an impact of melting glaciers and riverine outflow on creation of marine snow as well as on living conditions of zooplankton.
