On April 23, the University of Wroclaw hosted a celebratory session on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Stanisław Baranowski Polar Station in Spitsbergen.
The meeting was opened by representatives of the University authorities and the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Environmental Management and the Institute of Geography and Regional Development.
In the part devoted to new research projects Dr. Lukasz Stachnik, assistant professor at the University of Wroclaw, specializing in terrestrial biogeochemistry and hydrology of cold regions and a participant in the RAW project, gave a short presentation in which he introduced the team and the main objectives of the project.
