The traditional meeting of the Polish polar community took place in Sopot on May 18-19. The organizers and hosts of this year’s conference were the Institute of Oceanology, Polish Academy of Sciences, the Polish Polar Consortium, the Committee on Polar Research and the Polar Club of the Polish Geographical Society.

We are happy to inform that research team: Dr. Katarzyna Koziorowska-Makuch (Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland), Dr. Beata Szymczycha (IO PAN), Prof. Helmuth Thomas (Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon, Germany), Prof. Karol Kuliński (IO PAN) has published their scientific findings in paper “The marine carbonate system variability in high meltwater season (Spitsbergen Fjords, Svalbard)”.

More about Dr. Łukasz Stachnik obtained e-microNUT project

Dr. Lukasz Stachnik from University of Wrocław, researcher at RAW project, has received funding for a project titled “e-microNUT Chemical and morphological properties of glacier-derived amorphous minerals bearing bio-essential micronutrients (High Arctic),” which will run from November 2022 untill March 2023 as part of the activities of the Electron and X-ray microscopy Community for structural and chemical Imaging Techniques for Earth materials (EXCITE) network funded by Horizon 2020.
